Dating Your Toxic ASSets Off

I stumbled upon a great blog recently called From Prada to Payless. It’s subject intrigued me as it directly tied the current recession with failed relationships among the rich and now infamous.

In an economic downturn where not even the rich are spared, trophy wives are gathering their lawyers and Swiss bank accounts in order to divorce their formerly wealthy husbands. These gold diggers will not be brought down by their husbands’ bad luck and misfortune! No, no, these ladies have a lifestyle to maintain even if their current husband can’t sustain it.

The thing is, while the author tries to besmirch these women, I can’t help but think that not all of them married for money. After all, behind every great man stands and even greater woman right? No doubt some of these lucky ladies had a hand in their former husbands success.

They can’t all be gold diggers. Theoretically, some had to begin dating these once rich men with the best of intentions.

The question is where did it all go wrong? During the dating process? After the kids were born? Or simply after the stock market crash?

True gold diggers would have been able to con their men while dating them into thinking they had fallen in love. No doubt some men would have seen through this during the dating process.

Now for those that were truly in love, I suspect that they simply ignored each other during the marriage. A relationship once filled with fun, frivolity and dating fell into despair as both husband and wife found other things to outside of their marriage. This sadly goes on in marriages no matter what their incomes.
